“I won almost $1 million and didn’t stop smiling for a month.”
Russell, who comes from Britain, won almost $1 million in 2007 and whilst it’s true that he didn’t stop smiling for a month, it’s more accurate to say that he hasn’t stopped smiling since. Here Russell shares his story with us:
“I was (and still am) a regular at PartyCasino and loved the buzz that the games used to give me. I also loved to play the jackpot slots, they really are good fun. But I never thought that I would win a jackpot. Yet I discovered that the more times you play the more jackpot chances you get.

But I was thrilled to be proved wrong!
On the night I won, I saw this message flash across the screen which said ‘Congratulations, you’ve won a jackpot’. Then I had to pick boxes. The first showed a dollar, then another, then I had two loser symbols, but the fifth was a dollar and then I started to feel my hands shake from the excitement.”
Russell continues, “Five boxes were left and one of them had the mega-jackpot fourth dollar symbol inside. I couldn’t decide which to choose. I kept changing my mind and then just kind of froze and after I had made my choice I couldn’t hardly bear to look at the screen. But I sneaked a glance at the jackpot boxes and the only one that flashed was the mega-jackpot box. Wow. I had won!
But I couldn’t quite believe it. I giggled, just with the excitement and looked at my on-screen balance. It hadn’t changed. I couldn’t understand what was going on. Had I won or not. So I logged off. Then I couldn’t bear it any more, so I logged back on, checked my balance and there it was, nearly a million dollars had been paid into my account. I really HAD won!
I know I should have leapt up and down and shouted. But my head just couldn’t take in that kind of money. So I went and had a cup of coffee, then sat staring at the screen.
I couldn’t tell anyone about it for a bit, because I just couldn’t, because I couldn’t quite believe it. But once I had booked the two week holiday in a five star hotel, then I started to know it was for real. I am now buying a house and travelling all over the world.
