Blackjack tournaments
A blackjack tournament game involves the participation of several players. All players begin with the same number of chips. A winner is usually the player who has any chips remaining after the end of play or the player with the biggest number of chips at the close of the tournament.
Prizes vary depending on the number of players participating in the tournament, but the entire pool will be paid to winners. The aim of every player is to collect as many chips as he or she can. In a tournament if you lose all your chips, you are out.
At present only Sit and Go tournaments are available from PartyCasino.com. These can be played throughout the day and they begin the moment the necessary number of players has converged at the tournament table.
Options for Auto Bets:
As well as the usual options for blackjack, there are three extra auto bet facilities in Sit and Go tournaments:
- Bet minimum: Bets the lowest wager required to participate.
- Bet maximum: Bets the maximum wager required to participate. If a player’s balance is lower than the bet maximum, their whole balance will be placed as a bet.
- Repeat last bet: Wagers the same amount as the previous bet. If a player’s balance is lower than the earlier wager, their whole balance will be placed as a bet. If the lowest bet possible is larger than the previous wager, the minimum wager will be placed.
In a tournament the following are some of the applicable rules:
- The definition of a tournament is a competition where each and every player begins with the same number of chips and playing proceeds till only one player has any chips left or all the levels of the game have been exhausted.
- The tournament of Sit and Go begins once the necessary number of players has assembled at the tournament table. Positions at the table are chosen on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis.
- Each participant may take one seat only in a tournament. They could, however, unregister and join again later.
- Registration of players occurs after one has paid a buy-in and a fee where the buy-in is deposited in the prize pool and the fee goes to PartyCasino.com. The amount of money in the prize fund depends on how many are playing in the tournament and the entire fund will be paid to the winner(s).
- It is possible for players to deregister from a tournament before it has started by just clicking the ‘EXIT GAME’ button.
- The prize(s) that is up for grabs is displayed in the process of registration.
- One cannot re-buy after the tournament has begun.
- Go to the Tournament Lobby to check out details of any tournament. You can register at the lobby for any tournament simply by double-clicking. Details about levels can be found at the buy-in window.
- All tournaments have several levels and each level requires that a specific number of hands be dealt.
- A tournament is on until the completion of all levels or until one player remains. A winner is usually the player who has any chips remaining after the end of play or the player with the biggest number of chips at the close of the tournament.
- Should several players have the same balance at the end of the game, then the player who had the greatest balance of chips at the beginning of the final hand will win. If that balance should happen to be the same for several players, then they will all be winners and will share the prize in equal parts between them. This rule will also be used in setting any further rankings and prizes, if there are any.
- The ‘Dealer’ button says where play begins. It keeps moving clockwise after each hand. This does not alter, even if the game levels or quantity of hands increase.
- The player who has the dealer button will be given the opening card and the remainder are dealt going clockwise. The player who has the dealer button will be able to react to the cards in his hand before play moves to his neighbour in a clockwise direction. If the insurance option is activated there is an exception to this rule and it will be revealed to every player at the same time.
- If a player is too slow to react or is not connected, he is classed as being away from the game. Players can choose to be removed from play by clicking the ‘AWAY’ button.
- The lowest wager is bet on behalf of a player whilst he is ‘Away’. Any player who is away will be believed to have stayed with his first two cards. If a player is not at the table, he cannot take the option to insure.
- When the player returns to the tournament, he should click the ‘I AM BACK’ button. His game will then resume as usual.
For tournaments, PartyCasino.com has a cancellation policy which is as follows:
- In case of cancellation of a tournament for reasons of a technical nature, any participant who had lost out before the cancelling of the game is not owed anything in terms of the fee or the buy-in. However the players who had not been eliminated will get their buy-ins and fees back and buy-in payments from players who have already left the game will be evenly divided between remaining players, irrespective of how many chips they had when the tournament was called off.
- Partycasino.com has the right to cancel or reschedule tournaments when they deem fit and are not bound by law to serve a notice before the cancellation. Players should ensure that they look at the ‘Tournament Rules’ pages of the website and that they understand the policies before joining a tournament.
- Rules and policies show the total understanding between site and player in regard to how the player acts at any tournament, unless this is otherwise stated in the rules of any particular tournament as shown on the website.
