Blackjack - High Limit

Game objective:

The aim of Blackjack is to ensure you have a hand with a points total as close to 21 as possible but no more. The value of a hand is calculated using the total points of each card that is in the hand. ‘Number’ cards from 2 to 10 are valued as shown and Jacks, Queens and Kings, have a value of 10 points. The value of an Ace can either be 11 or 1. It is valued at 11 as long as that would not make the value of the hand exceed 21. If there is the potential of it raising the value to above 21 then its value is 1.

A ‘soft’ total is a hand where the Ace value is 11 as it will not cause the total hand to exceed 21. A ‘hard’ total is a hand where the Ace value is 1 as a value of 11 would bring the total amount to exceed 21.

If the player and the house there is no winner or loser and this situation is referred to as a ‘push’.

More information about the game is as follows:

  • The game rules and the game are similar in both modes of ‘play money’ and ‘real money.’
  • The least amount of money that one can bet is $100 but should not exceed $1000 .
  • In the Las Vegas Downtown variety of Blackjack eight decks are utilised with each deck containing 52 cards.
  • Shuffling of the deck is only after a tenth of the cards have been made use of.
  • Once a dealer has drawn a card on soft 17, 3 splits are permitted but no more.
  • If the dealer possesses a 10, Jack, Queen or King as the up card, the likelihood of him or her having a blackjack is high, making it almost automatic that your hand will lose except if you are in possession of a blackjack. In a case like this the dealer will look out for a blackjack there and then and the collection of the losing bet will take place upon the revealing of the hand.

The following information shows you how to play:

  • To choose the denomination you intend to bet click on the chip of that amount and then click on either the ‘Bonus Pairs’ or ‘Bet’ part.
  • After the bet has been placed, clicking on the ‘DEAL’ button is the next step.
  • The next step involves the dealer dealing you 2 cards facing up while he deals himself 2 cards one facing down and the other up.
  • The player can then select from various choices given such as ‘STAND,’ ‘HIT,’ ‘SURRENDER,’ ‘DOUBLE’ or ‘SPLIT.’
  • If the dealer is in possession of a 10, Jack, Queen, King or Ace as his initial card, he will verify if he has a blackjack prior to the player drawing the third card.
  • In a situation where the dealer has an ace as his initial card, the ‘INSURANCE’ choice is given to the player.
  • The moment the dealer or the player or dealer busts or stands, the outcome is shown under the player and dealer cards.
  • For a player to proceed with the game using the same bet, they have to hit the button named ‘REBET’.
  • For a player to lay a new wager just click on the chip amount you want.
  • The balance of the player is shown on the monitor.
  • Clicking ‘REBUY’ will enable you purchase more credits.
  • Clicking ‘RULES’ will display the rules of the game for you.
  • Clicking ‘GAMELOGS’ will display you game statistics.
  • Clicking ‘VERSION’ will display the present game version.
  • Clicking ‘EXIT GAME’ will bring the game to an end.

Whilst playing the game the player has several choices and these are:

Stand: Clicking the ‘STAND’ button will retain the present worth of your hand. You can do this at any stage if you are happy with the cards in your hand. When you hit the ‘STAND’ button your hand will be compared with that of the dealer, when he has completed his hand

Hit: Clicking the ‘HIT’ button will enable you to be dealt another card.

Double: This choice only comes after the initial two cards. Clicking on the ‘DOUBLE’ button will enable the bet you have placed to be increased by two times and you will be given an additional card. After the next card is dealt, the hand will stand automatically. You can also choose to double after you have split. If you do not have enough credit for the extra bet, the option to double will not be offered. If you have been dealt a blackjack, you may not double.

Split: This is an option in case you are in possession of two cards with similar worth in which case by splitting you share them out to two distinct hands.  You can also do this if your first two cards are Aces.  If you select this choice, a bet to the same value as your original wager is placed automatically.

You may split only once, even if more suitable occasions arise. If your hand is eligible for splitting, but you do not have enough funds for the extra bet, the option to split will not be given

You can take cards in any number on a split hand, except when you split on Aces. If you split Aces, you can have only one card given to the split hand. If you hold an Ace and a 10-point card is given, the hand will be classed not as a blackjack, but as 21.

This is how you split:

  • By clicking on the ‘Split’ option, the cards are shared out to 2 distinct hands before dealing an additional card to each of the hands.
  • The next thing to do is click on ‘HIT,’ or ’STAND’ or whatever choice one has.
  • The completion of the first hand activates the second hand automatically.

Insurance: Clicking on the ‘insurance’ button will offer you protection from a blackjack of a dealer. You may wish to do this should his open card happen to be an Ace. The cost of insuring is 50% of the bet amount and is on top of the first bet. An extra wager will be laid the moment you seek to insure.

In a situation where the dealer is in possession of a blackjack, the insurance bet pays two to one, and the player loses the first bet. In case the dealer does not draw a blackjack, the player loses the insured wager and the game proceeds for the money that had been bet first.

If you do not have enough credit in your game to cover the extra bet for insurance, the option will not be offered to you.

Surrender: the moment the player’s point total is revealed, he or she may decide to quit by clicking the ‘SURRENDER’ button thereby giving up 50% of their wager.

Paytable
Win Type Description Payout
Blackjack A blackjack, or ‘natural’, comprises a total of 21 in your first two cards. A blackjack is therefore an Ace and any 10-point card, with the additional requirement that these be your first two cards. If you split a pair of Aces, for example, and then draw a ten-point card on one of the Aces, this will not count as blackjack, but rather a total of 21. Your blackjack beats any dealer total (including a dealer's regular 21) except a dealer's blackjack. If both you and the dealer have a blackjack, the hand is a tie or ‘push’, and nobody wins or loses. 1.5:1
(Normal win) Your total is greater than dealer's, but less than or equal to 21. 1:1
Push The totals of both your hand and that of the dealer are the same. Your wager is returned.
Insurance Offered on the dealer's Ace to insure your hand against the dealer receiving a blackjack. It costs 50% of the bet amount, in addition to the initial bet placed by you. If the dealer gets a blackjack, the insurance bet pays 2:1. You lose the initial bet.

If the dealer does not get a blackjack, you lose the insured bet, and the game continues for the initial bet amount.
Surrender Allowed only on the first two cards. You can select to discontinue play of your hand for that round and surrender. If the dealer’s second card results in a blackjack, your entire wager will be collected by the dealer.

If the dealer’s second card does not result in a blackjack, then one-half of your bet will be returned.

Topping up your PartyAccount

Continue firing up any game by adding more funds to your PartyAccount balance. There are three simple options for reloading. The first is by going to the ‘Cashier’ menu, then look for the ‘Deposit’ button that will then guide you to the next step. If you are in the middle of a game and there is a need to reload, the second alternative is the best one for you. There is a ‘Rebuy’ button that is found on every game screen that will take you to the deposit options. The last one could be done in ‘My Account’ section found in the left portion of the main page. Click on the ‘Real Balance’ button and then follow the instructions.

Remember that each option is different in terms of the length of time the fund transfer takes place and the additional charge that goes with the process. Also take note that you can’t add any funds while you are in the middle of any game so it is advisable to check your party account before starting any game.

Reaching Bet Limits

There is a possibility that during the Game you may encounter the need to reload your PartyAccount balance because it is below the limit of minimum bet allowed. All you have to do is to click the ‘Rebuy’ button that will allow you to buy credits. You can also go to the Cashier menu and choose ‘Deposit’ that will then take you to the next process. There is also a ‘Cashier’ button in every “Buy-in” window that can be found in any screen of an ongoing game. The ‘Real Balance’ in the ‘My Account’ section in the left panel in main lobby can also do the job.

Disconnected or Halted Game

In case the game is suddenly disconnected, don’t worry because the software will automatically finish the game for you. You can check the status by logging back again then look for the 'Gamelogs' button. You can also check the balance of your PartyAccount that reflects the result.

If your game is halted while you are playing in feature round, you can finish it by logging in again. After completing the feature round, you can then continue playing the same game or start another game of your choice.
