Blackjack - Bonus Pairs
Game objective:
The aim of Bonus Pairs Blackjack is to have a hand of cards where the points total 21, or as close as possible, but being careful not to exceed 21. The value of a hand is calculated on the total points of each card in the hand. Face cards, which include Jacks, Queens and Kings, have a value of 10 points. The value of an Ace is 11 or 1. It is valued at 11 as long as that would not make the value of the hand exceed 21. If there is the potential of it raising the value to above 21 then its value is 1.
A ‘soft’ total is a hand that has an ace whose value is 11 and cannot cause the total to exceed 21. An example of a soft total would be Ace-6, which makes soft 17. A ‘hard’ total is a hand that has an Ace whose value is 1, since a value of 11 would cause the hand to exceed 21. An example of this might be Ace-6-10.
In the case of a player and house draw, there is no winner or loser and this situation is referred to as a ‘push’.
More information on the game is as follows:
- The game rules and the game are similar in both modes of ‘play money’ and ‘real money.’
- The least amount of money that one can bet is $1 but should not exceed $200 for the initial bet.
- The least amount of money that you can bet on for ‘Bonus Pairs’ is $1 .
- People can take part in the game without betting a ‘Bonus Pairs’.
- To play ‘Bonus Pairs’ one should lay a wager on ‘Bet’ and ‘Bonus Pairs.’
- In the Bonus Pairs variety of Blackjack eight decks are utilised with each deck containing 52 cards.
- Shuffling of the deck is only after a fifth of the cards have been used.
- Once a dealer has drawn a card on soft 17, 3 splits are permitted but no more.
- If the dealer possesses a 10, Jack, Queen or King as the up card, the likelihood of him or her having a blackjack is high making it almost automatic that your hand will lose, except of course if you are in possession of a blackjack. In a case such as this, the dealer will look out for a blackjack there and then and the collection of the losing bet will take place upon the revealing of the cards.
The following information shows you how to play:

- The player can then select from various choices given such as ‘STAND’, ‘HIT’, ‘SURRENDER’, ‘DOUBLE’ or ‘SPLIT’.
- If the dealer is in possession of a 10, Jack, Queen, King or Ace as his initial card, he will verify if he has a blackjack prior to the player drawing the third card.
- In a situation where the dealer has an ace as his initial card, the ‘INSURANCE’ choice is given to the player.

While playing the game the player has several choices and these are:
Stand: clicking the ‘STAND’ button will retain the present worth of your hand. When you hit the ‘STAND’ button your hand will be looked at in conjunction with the dealer’s completed hand
Hit: clicking the ‘HIT’ button will enable you to be dealt another card.
Double: this choice only comes after the initial two cards. Clicking on the ‘DOUBLE’ button will enable the bet you have placed to be increased by two times and you will be given an additional card. After the next card is dealt, the hand will stand automatically. You can also choose to double after you have split. If you do not have enough credit for the extra bet, the option to double will not be offered. If you have been dealt a blackjack, you may not double.
If you lose the bet, you forfeit the entire bet amount, the initial bet and the additional amount placed for the double option.
Split: this is an option in case you are in possession of two cards with similar worth in which case by splitting you share them out to two distinct hands.
You are allowed to split a maximum of three times. If the hand qualifies for
a split, but your game balance is not sufficient for the additional bet, the
split option will not be offered.
You may draw as many cards as you wish on each split hand, with the exception
of splitting on aces. If you split aces, only one card will be dealt to each
ace. If a 10-point card is dealt to either ace, the hand is counted as 21, not
blackjack.
This is how you split:
- By clicking on the ‘Split’ option, the cards are shared out to 2 distinct hands before dealing an additional card to each of the hands.
- The next thing to do is click on ‘HIT,’ or ’STAND’ or whatever choice one has.
- The completion of the first hand activates the second hand automatically.
Insurance: clicking on the ‘insurance’ button will offer you protection from a blackjack of the dealer. The cost of insuring is 50% of the bet amount and is on top of the first bet. An extra wager will be laid the moment you seek to insure.
In a situation where the dealer is in possession of a blackjack, the insurance bet pays two to one, and the player loses the first bet. In case the dealer does not draw a blackjack, the player loses the insured wager and the game proceeds for the money that had been bet first.
Surrender: the moment the player’s point total is revealed, he or she may decide to quit by clicking the ‘SURRENDER’ button thereby giving up 50% of their wager.
The surrender option is offered only after the dealer has checked to see if he has a blackjack. If the dealer’s second card results in a blackjack, your entire wager will be collected and the game will come to an end. However, one half of your bet will be returned to you if the dealer does not draw a blackjack, and you have opted to surrender.
The rules of Bonus Pairs are as follows:
- 'Bonus Pairs' wagers must be laid prior to clicking the ‘DEAL’ button.
- Each and every wager must not be below the posted minimum and must not exceed the posted maximum amounts.
- The definition of a pair is two cards of the same value; say a Queen and a Queen. A Jack and a Queen is not considered a pair.
- If the player’s first two cards are not a pair, the ‘Bonus Pairs’ bet is taken off the table straight away.
- If the player’s first two cards make a pair, then the player will be paid instantly as per the ‘Bonus Pairs’ pay table below.
- The ‘Bonus Pairs’ bet is separate from the outcome of the main game.

| Blackjack | A blackjack, or ‘natural’, comprises a total of 21 in your first two cards. A blackjack is therefore an ace and any 10-point card, with the additional requirement that these be your first two cards. If you split a pair of aces, for example, and then draw a 10-point card on one of the aces, you will have scored 21 rather than a blackjack. Your blackjack beats any dealer total (including a dealer’s regular 21) except a dealer’s blackjack. If both you and the dealer have a blackjack, the hand is a tie, or ‘push’, and nobody wins or loses. | 1.5 : 1 |
| Normal win | Your total is greater than the dealer’s, but less than or equal to 21. | 1 : 1 |
| Push | The totals of both the dealer’s hand and your hand are the same. | The round is tied, and your wager is returned. |
| Insurance | Offered when the dealer’s first card is an ace to insure your hand against the dealer receiving a blackjack. It costs 50% of the bet amount in addition to the initial bet placed by you. | If the dealer gets a blackjack, the insurance bet pays 2:1. You lose the
initial bet. If the dealer does not get a blackjack, you lose the insured bet and the game continues for the initial bet amount. |
| Surrender | Allowed only on the first two cards. You can select to discontinue play of your hand for that round and surrender. | If the dealer’s second card results in a blackjack, your entire wager will
be collected by the dealer. If the dealer’s second card does not result in a blackjack, then one-half of your bet will be returned. |

Topping Up Party Account
Continue firing up any game by adding more funds to your PartyAccount balance. There are three simple options for reloading. The first is by going to the ‘Cashier’ menu, then look for the ‘Deposit’ button that will then guide you to the next step. If you are in the middle of a game and there is a need to reload, the second alternative is the best one for you. There is a ‘Rebuy’ button that is found on every game screen that will take you to the deposit options. The last one could be done in ‘My Account’ section found in the left portion of the main page. Click on the ‘Real Balance’ button and then follow the instructions.
Remember that each option is different in terms of the length of time the fund transfer takes place and the additional charge that goes with the process. Also take note that you can’t add any funds while you are in the middle of any game so it is advisable to check your party account before starting any game.
Reaching Bet Limits
There is a possibility that during the Game you may encounter the need to reload your PartyAccount balance because it is below the limit of minimum bet allowed. All you have to do is to click the ‘Rebuy’ button that will allow you to buy credits. You can also go to the Cashier menu and choose ‘Deposit’ that will then take you to the next process. There is also a ‘Cashier’ button in every “Buy-in” window that can be found in any screen of an ongoing game. The ‘Real Balance’ in the ‘My Account’ section in the left panel in main lobby can also do the job.
Disconnected or Halted Game
In case the game is suddenly disconnected, don’t worry because the software will automatically finish the game for you. You can check the status by logging back again then look for the 'Gamelogs' button. You can also check the balance of your PartyAccount that reflects the result.
If your game is halted while you are playing in feature round, you can finish it by logging in again. After completing the feature round, you can then continue playing the same game or start another game of your choice.
