Team Canada Poker annual WSOP dinner

In her recent blog post Kara Scott mentioned the Red Hot Poker’s PartyPoker dinner that she attended.

The Red Hot Poker Tour’s Team Canada Poker annual WSOP dinner had some very special guests in 2010.

On June 27, the 22 Red Hot Poker Tour players who had won their entry to event #49 courtesy of Party Poker had the pleasure of sitting down with poker legend Mike Sexton, and fellow Canadian, and Party Poker pro Kara Scott.

In a private room at the Rio, on a break from the star-studded WSOP Tournament of Champions, Mike provided sage advice on the strategy of succeeding in the upcoming tournament.

He reminded the Red Hot Members that the tournaments and structure they have been playing all year was excellent training and should serve them well.

He took individual time with each person and everyone was pumped up from his encouraging – and laughing at his great humour.

At table two, Kara Scott charmed the group with her lovely outlook on life, and poker savvy.  She was a tremendous source of strategy as she was also playing in event #49 with Team Canada.  It is hard not to be smiling listening to Kara, who has such energy, and could share a similar Canadian experience with all the guests
