Simon Ravnsbaek raised on the button to 200,000 holding
. Maxim Kolosov went to raise to 500,000 but his betting action was deemed to be a string bet by the dealer. The floor were called for and the Kolosov raise stood at 350,000 and he was holding
. The action was on Gromov who was holding
and he called. Back to Ravnsbaek and he moved all-in for 2,660,000. Kolosov folded and Gromov decided to gamble.

Ravnsbaek, who qualified for this event playing online at Party Poker, finished a very respectable 3rd place

Our heads up battle only lasted a few hands before the two Russians got it all-in.

The flop propelled Gromov into the lead and he remained there and took home the WPT title and €447,840 first prize.

Mark Jenisch has hardly played a hand at this final table. He eventually finds a pair of pocket queens and gets called by our chip leader holding a pair of pocket nines. Jenisch’s face was a picture when he saw Gromov’s hand. That face soon changed when the flop gave Gromov a set and Jenisch was the first person eliminated at this final table.
