Premier League Poker V in Vienna and Max Pescatori at the WPT Venice talks about TonyG

Posted by Seth Shafer in Featured, Popular, Premier League on February 27, 2012

PartyPoker Premier League Poker series is in a league all its own and Premier League Poker V is raising the bar even higher. Two qualifiers will fight their way through the preliminary rounds to join 14 of the world’s top poker pros — including Tony G, Patrik Antonius, and Erik Seidel — in a $125,000 buy-in final with a prizepool of more than $2 million.

Both the initial playoffs and the finals will be televised and PartyPoker online players can win $13,000 trip packages that send them to Vienna on an all-expenses paid quest to see if they can topple the elite of the poker world.

Joining the above pros will be Vanessa Selbst, Luke Schwartz, Sam Trickett, and Andy Frankenburger (who’ll be defending his title from the Premier League Mixed Game Championship event at the Playboy Club last November).

Is Tony G Terrified of Max Pescatori?

One familiar face from that event who is on the fence about competing in Premier League Poker V is Max Pescatori, who we caught up with at WPT Venice to get his thoughts on his rivalry with Tony G and the Premier League in general:

As far as handicapping the field so far, it’d be hard to root against Erik Seidel, who’s success over the last few years in high roller and super high roller events is second to none.

Make sure you qualify to Vienna with online satellites currently running on PartyPoker plus did we mention the  Premier League V will also be in town? Ohh and with $13,000 trip packages up for grabs at PartyPoker for you to join the likes of Tony G, Patrik Antonius, Vanessa Selbst, and Erik Seidel in one of the world’s biggest buy-in poker tournament!
