I’ve been invited to join the panel of judges for the European Poker Awards in Paris in January, held at the absolutely gorgeous Aviation Club de France. It’s a real honour and I was definitely surprised and happy to be asked. When I was a kid, if people acted with poor manners then you’d often hear them reprimanded with a ‘What, were you raised in a barn or something?’
Now, I have known a fair number of barns in my day. I grew up in an agricultural area. Barns were everywhere so I knew them well and I certainly wouldn’t have wanted people to think I was RAISED in one.

Hello from Las Vegas! I’m here at the Rio getting ready to work on the final table for the World Series of Poker. We’re actually airing the final table over the next few days on ESPN2 and ESPN on a ‘same-day’ basis – so with only a 15 minute delay! This is a pretty incredible development for the WSOP but it certainly means a lot more pressure on everyone...Next up is the WSOP final table...

After a fantastic trip to Europe, I’m back in California for a few weeks to rest and relax before my next big work trip in November.
