Could I survive back in England?

Posted by Kara Scott in Kara Scott on August 8, 2011

The weather has been absolutely beautiful in Santa Barbara.

Whenever I consider moving back home to the UK (which I miss SO much) the lack of sunshine is the one thing that always pulls me up short.

I was chatting with David Tuchman during the last day of the WSOP coverage that we were both working on this summer and told him of my pipe dream – moving back to Brighton and get a cool little place on the seafront and spend all my time hanging out with my friends.

He indulged me for a little while before pointing out that after spending 2 years in California, the gloominess of England might be a bit much for me.

I was a bit insulted at first. After all, I’m not soft! I can take a bit of rain. I did live in England for over a decade. Buuuuut, then I seriously considered his point. He’s right. I’ve grown accustomed to daily sunshine and temperate weather.

Could I survive back in England? I’m still considering a move back there so I may just find out!
