After finishing her Triathlon with TonyG and Hellmuth, Kristy Arnett found some time to ask Jason Mercier, Ronnie Bardah, and Jonathan Duhamel what they would do for a living if they didn’t play poker:

The adventure continues as I traipse around Europe trying to decide which country I should call home. Being in Malta was great as it’s one of the countries that is high up on the list. A lot of poker players live there and I can see why. It’s beautiful and sunny as well as being a little haven of Mediterranean goodness. Pretty enticing all around. And of course, it’s always a hell of a lot of fun. The Player Party for WPT Malta was great. Royal Flush Girl Violet Dillon is always great to have around as she’s such good fun and has a really positive outlook on life. She took this photo of Ronnie Bardah and I at the party, fooling around in gold suspenders (although the ‘why’ of it escapes me now.)

Back to Italy

Once I finished up there, I came back to Italy as some of my friends from California were flying out to visit me and I wanted to show them a good time. We ate and drank ourselves silly and then sat on the beach catching up on each other’s news. I’m always so glad when my friends can come and join me on the road because I do really miss them when I’m away.

Now it’s time to get back to work as I’m heading to San Remo to play a tournament there. Everyone seems to have a different ‘favourite’ hidden restaurant in that town, so no doubt there will be a lot of nights full of great Italian food. Hopefully not too many though as San Remo is a tournament that I’d love to have a deep run in.

Family Time

Once I’m done there, I’m headed back across the pond for some family time in Canada. I don’t get back there to visit them nearly often enough and I can’t wait! ~ Kara Scott

In between seeing if Phil Hellmuth could play ball Kristy Arnett pulls aside Tony G, Jonathan Duhamel, Jason Mercier, and Ronnie Bardah to find out what the worst job they ever had was:

Malta is every bit as beautiful as I remember. I was out here to play the WPT event but had a bit of a problem with sending my buy-in over and sadly arrived with only one bullet instead of two for the re-entry. I played Day 1b and it was a bit of deja vu as at my starting table was my friend (and really great poker player) Fabrice Soulier. We played last year at WPT Malta as well and both had very frustrating days from what I remember. Sadly, I didn’t make Day 2 but I did go and have a drink after play finished with my teammates Tony G and Marvin Rettenmaier to catch up on their stories.

One Of The Best Stops

I’m always surprised when people miss out on this tournament because I think that Malta is one of the best stops on the WPT Europe calendar. The nightlife is great here and being able to lay on the beach and get some sun is the perfect antidote for bad beats. I’ll be here for a few more days enjoying the scenery and then it’s back to Italy for a little time away from the tables!

It’s the first part of the TonyG Vs Hellmuth WPT Malta Triathlon presented by WPTPoker.com. As you can see it was getting pretty rough out there on the court as this blogger had to separate these two poker giants just before it turned nasty. So with out any further ado let’s hit the court as Tony and Phil show us that these white men can jump!
